When you select a PDF in Online PDF Editor, the page reads and processes that file in your browser. The PDF document is not uploaded to an Online PDF Editor file-storage server by this tool.
This website loads PDF.js and pdf-lib JavaScript libraries from the cdnjs public content delivery network. Your browser therefore makes requests to that CDN to load the software libraries. This is separate from uploading your selected PDF document.
When you choose Download PDF, your browser creates and downloads the output file to your device.
For highly sensitive documents, use a trusted and updated device and browser. This tool's Whiteout feature is a visual cover and does not securely remove underlying information.
